3-Step Process
We know that our brains are complex and amazing. They are capable of receiving, processing and storing huge amounts of information about how we perceive and respond to the changing environments and stimuli we experience to help keep us safe and well.
Sometimes an experience can get fixed in processing and we find ourselves reliving and remembering it again and again, with all the emotions and responses that were present at the time. This can be great if what we remember is linked to a positive memory. However it can be very upsetting and disruptive for us if the experience we recall was negative.
The 3-Step Process helps you to move the memory of a negative experience from processing into your memory store. You will not forget your experience, it forms a small part of who you are, but you can get to a place where the memory does not trigger the same emotional reactions that cause you distress and may be holding you back.
3-Step is not a therapeutic process
In fact, it will work without you describing out loud the experience and ongoing memories that are causing you concern. You will be guided and nurtured at all times and can feel safe knowing that you can move through your memory in a way that is most effective for you.
What to Expect
The work is completed over three sessions where I will guide you through a deep relaxation. Each session is uniquely tailored to you and will support you to move through the memory before using language to lay the foundation of the responses you want to experience in your life going forwards.
Two of the sessions are recorded, giving you the chance to listen again to the guided relaxation and get the most benefit from the work we do.
Sessions can be in person or virtual, offering you maximum flexibility when making this investment in yourself. In addition to this, you will also have ongoing email and telephone support in between sessions.
